Don't get me wrong, while I'm always the optimist, 2012 certainly had it's ups and downs. I can thank the year for giving me my sweet, healthy, happy, smiley baby boy but it's also handed us it's fair share of troubles. There has been serious health issues and rocky employment for some close family members. Sorry to be vague about it all but what I'm getting at is that even though we were thrown some serious curve balls, we made it through unscathed.
An Instagram friend once said something that stuck with me - "If you need something to be thankful for, check your pulse." That statement comes to mind every time the universe dumps one more thing in our laps.
So friends, I wish you all the love, happiness, health and wealth that the new year can bring you. I'm hoping you have lots to look forward to in 2013. I know I certainly do. My baby boy will turn one in February, we have a big family beach trip in June, a family reunion in July and I'll hopefully be able to go on a long overdue honeymoon next Winter. Hint hint husband. HINT HINT. ;)

Love that quote - so true! 2012 had many ups and downs for us, too, though I don't share a lot of the downs! Trying to focus on the positive can be hard.

Wow, that phrase does have a lot of meaning doesn't it! No one ever said life would be easy but they did say it would be worth it :). That's the one I try to remember.
