Spring Style

I have been so intent on trying to find an Easter outfit for Noah, I completely forgot to look for something that I could wear to church this Sunday. As I was packing up all my maternity clothes (YAAYYY!!), it dawned on me that I really have nothing to wear anymore. I know every girl says this but with my new "mom" figure,
there are a number of things that will have to stay in storage for a while. Anything form fitting will be tossed aside until I can get my six pack back.

Ha. Like I ever had one.

Anyway, I loaded up Noah yesterday and we hit the department stores. First stop was Kohl's and I hit the jackpot right out of the gate. It was all I could do not to buy out everything in the Lauren Conrad line. Her stuff is super cute and none of it is snug or hoochy. It's, for lack of a better term, grown up.

In the end, I walked away with this beauty.

When it's on, it hangs nicely and the way the bottom is cut, gives a nice shape. The hubs won't be happy when I go back to work because I think a shopping spree may be in order. A new work wardrobe? Yes please.

Oh, wait, we were on the hunt for an Easter dress. Right then. Moving along.

Well, I had my eye on a couple of LC's pretties but none of them were the right size so this little number caught my eye and I fell in love.

It may be a little dark but I think if I pair it with a sweet little yellow sweater, I can pull it off for Sunday's service.

In the end, for under a hundred bucks, I think I'll have a pretty decent outfit for this weekend. Shopping has never been easy for me since my size has always been in the double digits, so when I found some adorable stuff post-baby, I was ecstatic. I am feeling pretty good but it will take some time to get back to where I want to be. In the meantime, I've got my Spanx on.

Damn, I forgot about shoes. Back to the mall!! :)

What are some of your favorite Spring outfits?

The other night in class they were talking about a girl who had a baby and after the baby and a few days of peeing she went back to her pre-baby size. They were like, I hate her. haha! Reading this just made me think of that convo.

btw, love the dress! Super cute!

I hear ya! Being a not tiny person makes finding cute, trendy clothes that actually flatter my body! :) I think those are both super cute choices! I think I need that shirt in my closet like YESTERDAY!!!!! :)

I love the dress and the cute yellow sweater. Although I dislike my arms so I'd wear the sweater always :o)

Weirdly enough, our Kohl's doesn't carry the LC line! I've never found a thing in there that I like but I've never seen her collection.

I have assets from Target and they work great! I need some motivation to get back in shape, so we can hold each other accountable!
