Saturday, Kevin finally finished painting the bathroom and on Sunday, we tore out the old linoleum and I re-tiled the floor with some self-stick vinyl tiles. I'm pleasantly surprised with how they turned out and can't wait for the entire room to come together. All we have to do now is put some trim around the windows and the floor, seal the tile and put up our new towel bars and shower curtain rod.
Not only did the hubs and I work on the bathroom this weekend but we finally gave in and traded my hardtop convertible

I'm none too happy about the switch. As much of a pain in the ass my VW Eos convertible was, (countless annoying problems with oil leaks, water leaks and electrical problems) I really loved that car. Now I'm in a 2008 Ford Escape and I feel like I'm towering over all the other vehicles on the road.
Kevin, on the other hand, is pretty happy about the change. I'm now in a 4 wheel drive vehicle, which is better in the snow and gives him peace of mind, plus, it's slower. I might have a little bit of a lead foot and the turbo in my convertible was getting me in big trouble. Two speeding tickets within one year of each other? Yeah, I'm pretty sure Kevin will be sending me to driving school. Bummer.

I went from a sedan to an SUV last year and I love it! You'll get used to it, and you'll learn to love towering above people, promise!
I have a VW Golf and I would sob for hours if someone tried to make me swap it out for Ford SUV. I really hope someday future babies will be comfy in the back of my Golf!

Sad day that the convertible is gone, but SUV's are fun too. We bought an SUV mainly for the puppy right now, but we will need it for bambinos some day :)
Awww, I love VW's but yeah, they can be a pain. I'm with you on SUV's though - not a fan. D stron-armed me into getting one & even then, we only got a CRV (can't really call that an SUV). You get used to it though.

Aww, sorry to see the cute convertible go! I know what you mean about having a lead foot though, I love my fast little coupe. Hopefully having all the extra space in the SUV will come in handy though!

I like Ford Escapes! I bet you'll get used to being a lil higher up in no time & love it. One things for sure, you will be so glad you have that car puttting baby seat & baby in & out of car countless times. I went from an accord to a saturn vue (same size as Escape) and my back is so grateful :)

Congrats on the new car! :) I used to feel weird being "up high" in my SUV, but now I love it. And, I know what it's like to trade cars - we just traded ours for a AWD vehicle for baby reasons, too....we're really growing up! ;)

i keep telling my husband that i wont be caught dead driving a van...so good choice on the suv!!!
at least it's an SUV and not a van or a station wagon.. haha! Those are my 2 fears to wind up with... LOL I know silly!
We traded in our two door civic as soon as we found out a baby was on the way....there was no way a baby and two dogs would work in my beloved first car anymore. I must say though, I love the space, but miss my low MPGs
