This weekend, Kevin took a boys trip to Pennsylvania for the annual Eastern and Outdoor Show. I know, I'm super sad I couldn't go, seeing hundreds of men drooling over artillery and ammo would have made for an epic weekend.
However, I chose to stay home with my puppy dog and do some of my favorite things. First on the list, ladies night. One of my best friends just purchased her first home so we decided to celebrate with a few glasses of wine. Okay, a few bottles. Then on Saturday, I slept in until about 12, for obvious reasons and then was invited to celebrate my nieces thirteenth birthday. At a skating rink.
I'm pretty sure you can figure out what happened next.
I went from this:
To falling flat on my ass in front of 30 middle schoolers. Turns out, falling in front of a bunch of 13 year olds as a 24 year old is still just as embarrassing. I could feel them all laughing at me. I'm now scarred for life.
Mentally and physically.
No I haven't showered and yes those are my husbands pajama pants.
They have fish on them and they're comfortable.
Needless to say, I won't be getting on skates any time soon.
I will now resume watching the Superbowl commercials. How cute was that Darth Vader VW one?! Ahh!

Awwww, you poor thing!! I love skating...is that weird? I haven't done it in forever though, so I'd probably bust my butt too!
I get bruises all the time and don't know where they come from...at least you know what yours is from!
Oh no!! But, skating is so hard! I went a couple years ago after not going for a long time and I couldn't believe how hard it was!
Oh painful. We grew up ice skating a lot and since I have weak ankles I was prone to falling. At some point, I just stopped getting the skates all together - I was a cool kid that hung out at the concession stand nursing my ego.
Ok, this confirms that I never want to go skating again. The last time I went I was in like 4th grade and I fell on my butt SO many times - I could hardly walk the next day. And it hurt my ankles and knees so badly. I was exactly like Hannah - Finally stopped getting skates and sat around/talked at skate parties instead.

Ouch! Hopefully, you didn't get hurt too bad. Being around kids always gives me horrible flashbacks to being uncool as a kid. We went laser tagging with a bunch of middle schoolers once and I immediately turned into a shy, awkward, embarrassed 13 year old again!

I LOVED the VW commercial! That was GREAT~!
When my husband got back from Afghanistan last year, the very first thing we did was going roller skating. I don't know why, I said, "let's do it" and he obliged me. I wiped out too, which sucked but was totally happy to have someone to couples skate with.:)

I went roller skating a few years ago after not having done so since like high school...it was definitely harder than I remembered! Thankfully I didn't fall but I won't be going skating on a regular basis, that's for sure ;)
Roller skating is brutal, and meant to be enjoyed by 13 year olds. I give you credit for going and skating ;)

Oh dear lord. I mean...I guess it could be worse. You could have gone ice skating? That's, like, way more embarrassing when you fall because you're cold and icy and crap like that.
