The post about nothing

Remember when I told you how shitty my Friday was? Well, my weekend went all fine and dandy then Monday decided to show up and barf all over my happy little rainbow of fun. I even forgot one sneaker yesterday morning so I had to work out in my socks. Who forgets just one shoe? Me. That's who. Luckily, the Zumba class I'm taking is held here at work and is all ladies so no one really cared that I was shaking my ass with no shoes on. You better bet I shook my ass and looked like a damn fool doing it too, a dancer I am not.

The only plus to yesterday was that I've lost four pounds this week. It's a small accomplishment but a start nonetheless. I don't really have a goal for my new healthy eating but I know that my pants don't fit and I can't afford to buy new ones. So there's that... and the two new bathing suits I ordered from Victoria's Secret are a little extra motivation too.

Seeing that number slowwwwlllyyy go down gives me the oomph to keep going and keep it up no matter how much I want a damn Twinkie. The hubs even tried to tell me they now have nuts in them so I wouldn't want one, nice try Kevin.

I do have to give it to him, the guy know how to cheer me up. When I came home from work on Friday and laid down on the couch for a few minutes, he changed the television to Say Yes to the Dress and let me watch it for the rest of the evening. Then last night, when I was still being a capital B, he turned on The Office.

He sure knows the way to my heart, pointless and mind numbing television.

I'm glad you had a good weekend.

You are not the only one who had a crappy Monday. It couldn't get over with fast enough! It was just one thing after another.

Hopefully your Tuesday is turning out better!

Oh and after the baby is born, I totally want to try Zumba it sounds like so much fun!

Woohoooo! Way to go on the 4 lbs. For women especially it's hard to lose weight :(. I'm like you, my pants are snug and I can't afford new ones... so keep up the good work for all of us!!! I'm thinking about trying Zumba... the last time I did it though, I sprained my ankle and couldn't walk for a couple days :( Wish me luck!

You've got a good man Jessica! :)

I am so proud of you for the 4 pounds. It is so helpful when that number goes down because you just want to keep going, you know? Can I make 5? 10? 20! Keep up the good work sister!

Oh, and tell Kevin thank you on the twinkies with nuts. Now I think they are the devil. Yuck.

I'm glad mind numbing tv makes you feel better too! When people are in bad moods my advice usually is to watch tv or eat and I wonder if that is bad advice!

I'm glad you blogged in your real voice instead of waiting for a better mood. Sometimes it's good to see that your favorite bloggers aren't always shooting rainbows out their rears, ya know? ;)

Congrats on the four lbs! And, congrats on not letting a missing shoe deter you from working out. That's exactly the kind of thing I'd use as an excuse to leave.

Bummer that you forgot your shoe! I have a recurring nightmare where I go out without socks haha.

Four pounds is AWESOME! Keep it up - that first scale going down is great motivation, isn't it? You are doing something right!

I totally want to start Zumba. We had the classes in Japan but they freaked me out because I was scared I wouldn't be able to understand the instructions. I wanna try here whenever the hell I get employed.

Mindless television (especially SYTTD and The Office) cheer me up too!

Yay for 4 lbs, I'm jealous, can you do the work for me too? Mmmkay thanks haha

Your hubs is sweet to let ya take dibs on the tv episodes, score...

Zumba during lunch? Sounds awesome & good for you for still doing it shoes or no shoes.

I'm on week 2 of stuff sucking...bleh...it's got to look up at some point right?

Ladybug, I had a rough few days too. But, hey, at least you're losing weight--I seem to be gaining it. WTF. Um, well, the Twizzlers and the chips and salsa probably explain the WTF.

Also, "The hospital provides a dictionary, take a thesaurus!" ;)

You=amazing. Like Layla said, I woulda been like "no shoe? F* this, I'm going home." And yay for the hubs. Ten points to gryffindor, I mean Kevin :P

4lbs is still awesome, even if it's not as much as you were hoping for! And yea, totally jealous that you can do Zumba at work. No such perks at my job :(

When we still had cable, my FI would give in and watch 4 Weddings with me occasionally. I think he secretly like it ;)

That's awesome that you have lost 4 pounds last week! It takes me forever to lose weight!

Haha when you said you still worked out without your other shoe, I thought you were going to say you ran on the treadmill...haha that would be a funny site!

Good for you Jess!!!!!! You have more motivation than I do to hit the gym and shake it! I wish I had a work out friend I know I'd go more...I have a hard time working out alone which is so funny to me because I like to shop alone, read alone with no one around to distract me...hmmmm strange right? I'm weird!

Congrats on 4 pounds! That's awesome! So sweet that your hubby is trying to help you out!

Go you! 4lbs is awesome!! Did you see Meagan's post on WW about taking it 5lbs at a time? (meganlikesit) - that might be my new motto. I too have to diet since we literally can't afford new clothes right now.

I love that you took the class with no shoes on. I'd totally do the same thing. Here's to a better rest of the week. :)

4 LBS IN ONE WEEK!?!!? That's AMAZING! Great job - truly great job. I bet you're looking so great these days. You're going to kill the biggest loser challenge!

(PS - I've been having a horrid two weeks lately too. I just can't get out of this bad mood. I keep hoping pretending to be positive will magically pull me out - but nothing yet!) Hope your week gets better!

Four pounds is awesome, girl!! As I sit here with an open bag of tortilla chips next to me...

Anyway, we're all allowed to be in a crappy mood every once in a while (some more than others ::coughmecough::). Hopefully today was a better day!!

Congrats on the 4lbs! That is awesome! My best friend is a pt Aumba instructor and I am dying to try it! Do you love it? Also, which VS swimwuits did you get? I was on the site for hours looking at honeymoon-wear, they have so much cute stuff right now!

Great job on the weight loss! Slow and steady always wins the race. I love seeing the real you. Every one gets frustrated and has bad days, so it's nice to know we're not alone! Most people wait till the mood passes.. I like that you didn't. Hope this week is better for you! Keep us up to date with the weight loss! Good luck!
