Kitty Koach. Are you for real?

Infomercials are entertaining, ridiculous and you can't help but want the products no matter how silly they seem. I first brought you the Bear Scratch. Today, I bring you the Kitty Koach.

This is exactly what the product looks like and it does exactly what you think it does. It trains your cat to use the toilet. All in all, it seems like a great idea, but the commercial is a bit awkward to me because it's random shots of cats, um, doing their business. Not sure they care or not, but I don't want to see anyone using the toilet.

Secretly, I wish I still had a cat so I could see if this worked. The set comes with a series of three rings that you fill with cat litter. They gradually get smaller and smaller until the cat is basically using just the toilet. Brilliant. I died the first time I saw the infomercial. People really do think of everything.

Has anyone else seen this? Regardless, go buy one.
Report back with your findings.
Sans photos of your cat using the toilet.

(This blog post was not endorsed by Kitty Koach. I just thought it was hilarious)

HAHA This is hysterical! The hubs and I saw a product like this the other day when we were buying cat food. I wonder if it works....I don't want to try it with my cats...they will probably fall in! Plus one cat likes to drink from the toilet!

So glad I'm not a cat person. No offense to anyone that is, but man.....

Hahaha, this made me laugh out loud. For one, my cats like to destroy toilet paper and drop it in their water bowl, and one of them likes to drink from the toilet. Too funny. Not a good idea for us!

Ok not all cat people are this weird! I sure as hell wouldn't have my cats use this. It's just bizzarre. However, my cats do love to sit on the toilet with the top down. They're...different.

If I had a cat, I would fully expect it to use the toilet. Same goes for a dog or newborn baby.

I don't really understand why anyone would want their cat using the toilet in the first place. It's not like they would flush! I prefer to let my cat out, cats are very clean and make sure to cover up their stuff. When it rains, we put out a litter box. I would not want to know when exactly my cat poops and pees, how much.. I get annoyed when someone gets to flush as is! I'd really like to hear the logic behind this product. I'm spending way too much time thinking about it...

Hi! Thanks for your comment on my blog. Duck is delicious :) I wish I could describe what it tastes like but I think it's one of those things you just have to try.

We have four cats and I'd love to know if this thing works...to not have to clean litterboxes anymore would be amazing.

hahah that is nuts!

Hmmm, I really am tempted to try this! I also want the cat genie, but that thing is like $450. Anything to not have to clean litter boxes!

Haha such a weird product! What happens when you have guests over and they go to the use the bathroom and there is that contraption on the toilet?! Or they open the bathroom door and there is your cat on the toilet?!

Hope you had a great weekend!

I haven't seen this one yet (and I'm such a sucker for infomercials), but I'm dying.. too funny!! My one cat likes to sit on top of the closed toilet, and almost fell in one time when she jumped onto it and realized a second too late that it was open. Heh.

This is super weird! Although, the product might be good in our house since my cat seems to think our bed is his litter box...

I think the whole notion of a cat using the toilet is hysterical but I must confess that I'm friends with a couple that trained their two cats to use the toilet and because I am crazy..but intrigued by the notion I asked to come over so I could witness it....definitely was hysterical and wonderous all at the same time....and of course weird that I even wanted to see...LMAO!

*whoops, double post*

HAHA! Ok, that might be a little intense. I'm a dog person with a cat (don't ask, I know) but I will admit the idea of never having to clean another litter box in my life would be uh-mazing!! It's also way less gross to me than a kid's training potty. Umm, you have to wash those suckers out on the spot. Gross.

I totally hear you on the stupid commercials though - my new favorite one is Nutella. Now, please don't get me wrong I lurve me some Nutella, but "part of a nutritious breakfast" it is NOT. LOL

Yes new blog look for me :)

Very interesting - I'd totally try this for my cat, but she's so clumsy I'm afraid she'd fall in!

Sandra said...

You just have to leave some kitty-appropriate reading material next to the toilet and the cat will be set!

Anni said...

Whatever happens, R cannot (must.not) see this! He's convinced we need to train our cats to do this. It grosses me out!

Ok, so I had to go back and find this post of yours. I thought you'd get a kick out of knowing that I just set one of these up for my one cat who refuses to just go outside! I've been thinking about getting one (I got the as seen on tv version) ever since I read this post of yours! :)
