I like smiling, smiling's my favorite.

If you don't know where that quote is from, go turn on TBS.
Elf is probably on right now.

I had a fabtastic weekend y'all, I finally got my Christmas tree. Why do I say MINE? Because hubs has never had a tree up in this house (fifteen years occupied) and then I came along. It's not Christmas without the tree so a-hunting we went.

 Directions. Good.

The best they had. Literally. This tree farm was less than par.

The manly man cut the tree.

He does good work.
Doesn't he look all grizzly and rugged? I even let him set it up for me.

 Let there be light.
 And the final product.

 Bodie approved.

Speaking of Bodie, my former roommate and always bestie, Michelle, made me this last Christmas. From what I hear, he was a pain in the butt in the process.
 Cute right?

Then we have our first ornament, technically, as a married couple. My BFF Katie gave this to me as a wedding present.

 Love it.

Of course, we have to give some love to the Hokies, I mean, they are ACC champs.

That's about it as far as ornaments go. We've never had a Christmas tree together so collecting decorations never was an issue. This year we bought a bulk box of ornaments from WalMart and hope to collect some special additions throughout the years.

Oh, and did you notice our manly, hunter approved stockings?

He may not know this yet but I see Pottery Barn personalized ones in our future.

Hahaha, I LOVE Elf. Pretty sure I watched it twice over the weekend.

I love your manly hunting man stockings--they are too cute. But, yes, Pottery Barn monnogrammed stockings FOR SURE. We just started collecting ornaments and we've been married five years. Ha!

Love the tree and the ornaments! We have an ornament with our ferrets' paws, just like yours with Bodie's, too! =) We just started collecting some meaningful ornaments ourselves. It'll be fun to add to our collection through the years!
