3 Cakes in 1 Uneventful Weekend

This weekend was uneventful, just as I had expected.

Saturday, Bodie and I did a lot of this

and I finally finished this

I also watched the Halloween episodes of

That evening we jumped in the car

to play board games with my aunts...also as I suspected we would.

Then on Sunday, I had lunch at my parents where we had a delicious chocolate cake baked by my wonderful sister. (Devoured before pictures were taken.)

During dinner at my in-laws,
I found out someone special read my blog on Friday and bought me one of these

which was just as good (if not better) than the mint cake from Cold Stone Creamery that I wanted.

My niece Abby also got a little creative and did some decorating

and hid a surprise inside of my slice.

Luckily, it was just a jelly bean.

Well, it was Halloween, how was I supposed to know what she was going to do?!

When someone says "there's a surprise in your piece of cake" your mind starts to wander. All I was ever told as a kid was to watch out for razor blades in apples and poisoned candy from the neighbors so you can only imagine what I thought I was going to find.

Somehow I doubt that ever crossed her sweet little mind though. Good kid... stick to jellybeans.

Mmmm, so much cake! I think I probably would have been nervous if someone had told me they put a surprise in my cake, but a jelly bean sounds like a good addition!

Sometimes the most uneventful weekends make the best ones! :) esp with there is a lot of puppy dog time involved! :)

I'm so glad you have one of those dogs...I always call them "White Totos" because I have no idea what they really are. Googling 'White Toto' doesn't help me either. So, what kind of dog is the super adorable Bodie? I love him.
