This weekend was one of the better weekends I've had in a while. Normally, I sleep in until about 10, watch T.V. til noon then decide to get up and either pee or eat. Thankfully, my best friend Katie was home this weekend and made me get my fat arse out of bed and do something.
As I mentioned, Saturday was the homecoming game for Bridgewater College, Katie's alma mater and since I didn't go to college, I like to live vicariously through her and pretend that I did. We lived together for her junior and senior year making it seem like I was right there at BC too. I've met countless of her college classmates and probably went to one too many parties with her.
So, around two o'clock, we headed out but since the football game had already started we just headed towards the tailgating. After we found some familiar faces, we watched as a few of the alumni played some drinking games. Now, I'm all for a good round of flip cup and have actually become quite good. Although, they were playing one game I had never heard of. They would dunk their head in a cooler of ice water and then shot gun a beer. I guess it has to do with brain freeze or something? Um, no thanks. I wish I had snapped a pic of that but I was too busy drinking a Busch heavy to pay attention. I can honestly say that if you are a lightweight, you won't last with more than one of these.

After two, I had a buzz. And in a camo can? Oh yeah, that's how we do it...
and brought to you by Drew:
Our favorite resident mountain man. He was a good friend of Katie's in school and I've gotten to know him pretty well over the years.
Question: who do you think he looks like? Hint anyone?
He'll be Alan from The Hangover for Halloween. One of my ALL TIME favorite movies. Classic. I died laughing. Since we won't be at the same party, I'm seriously trying to convince Kevin to go as Alan too. He'd have to grow out the beard a bit but with the right outfit, he could totally pull it off.
A bit later in the afternoon, once I started feeling real good, I apparently wanted a photo with these two forming the "the Ray Ban Club."
Don't know either of these guys except I remember that Colin, in the middle, spent an hour trying to sell me insurance and he was wearing pink shorts...not that bright pink shorts on a man is a bad thing, it's just...um...memorable.
After that, we stopped by the campus store and bought some apparel. I have been dying for some Bridgewater College sweatpants. They're the good kind from Champion. All soft and cozy on the inside. Just in time for the cool weather. I'll add those to my collection of unsexy apparel along with my men's basketball shorts, which I probably wear more than I should. Poor Kevin. He's probably dying for a normal nighty or even something other than granny-panties. Oh well, he knew all this before we got married.
Anyway, all in all, it was a great day. We were going to head to the bar that evening but we were so worn out by the sun, we decided to call it a day. I'm so glad Katie got to come home for the weekend. She lives three hours away and I know that she doesn't get to see her college friends as often as she likes. Saturday afternoon she told me it was the happiest she'd been in a long time. I know, how presh is that....
Besties forever and ever and always until we die. Even then, Katie, you better walk your ass up Mt. Kilamanjaro with Michelle and spread my ashes. MmkayThanksLoveYou.

Aww, how fun! I love getting together with friends from out of town. Especially when you get to do all the tailgating activities. :)
Omg those cans! Wowwww. I thought I'd seen it all in terms of drinking, but those camo cans (and the head dunking drinking game) are new ones to me.
Glad you got to see your bestie for the weekend :)
Your hair looks great! And that camo can is hilarious!!!!! That guy really does look like Alan from The Hangover too... I can't believe it. That's a really good halloween costume for him!
We have those camo Busch Lite in SC, too! And we get Clemson orange Bud Lite in the fall!
Ahhhh, good ole American tail gating. Sounds like a blast!
Woah! They totally look like twins!!
Looks like a great time and that can is hilarious!
Yay for Busch beer! Busch Light was the official beer of our college, in fact, 3% of the world supply was consumed in my college town. We never got awesome patterned cans like that though. :(
HAHA I love the can!
Fact: I usually shotgun a beer when tailgating at sporting events. I bring it. Although, no head dunking. Too intense for me!
And OMG he DOES look like Alan!!
