Hi friends. I have someone I'd like to introduce you to.
Meet Ethel.
As you can see, Ethel holds a bowl which contains some delectable treats. These candies are there for the taking and you may not be able to tell, but there is quite an assortment of goodies she is holding. Why there are some pieces of Dubble Bubble, and even a couple Kit Kats buried under all those tootsie rolls. Fabulous!
One thing Ethel doesn't like though? Greed.
So, I would like to say, please be kind and only take one piece of candy. You know what, take up to three, or even five! Hell, I'm in a good mood and Ethel is obviously having a good hair day. Have at it! But you know what? Especially to the little old lady with a scarf: please, refrain from taking handfuls when I'm not looking. You may think that I've turned around to go into the copy room but alas, I saw you grab two fistfuls and shove them into your pocket. You looked around, peering to make sure you wouldn't get caught and then took your seemingly precious grammy-hands and fisted my candy. SIGH.
I thought we had something? The little old lady was so sweet. So nice. I wanted to call her Nana. You know, I don't have but one living grandparent. I could have used another. But no, she had to lie to me. Okay, I'm sure she had a good reason to take all of the Tootsie Rolls from Ethel the candy witch. Maybe she has low blood sugar or cats with low blood sugar. Yes, lots of diabetic cats.
I forgive you old lady with a scarf. But if this happens again... there will only be Dubble Bubble in that dish, and I know that will stick to your dentures.
Candy?
PS -- Tootsie Rolls are 2 for $4 at Food Lion.
I'm not buying a $10 bag of candy. Nope. Won't do it.

Haven't had enough fun yet? Well guess what kiddles, I've been tagged a couple more times.
I feel I'm running out of blog-material! Y'all will know all about me. Hahaha
I love all my readers and love being tagged!
From the gorgeous newlywed Jacin, her questions were:
1. what was the last movie you watched?
Transformers 2 - for the 1,209,325 time because it's all Kevin watches when he has the remote.
Transformers 2 - for the 1,209,325 time because it's all Kevin watches when he has the remote.
2. what's your favorite food?
French fries. When I'm on death row, someone make sure that Dave's Taverna french fries are included with my last meal? Thanks.
3. what is your happiest memory (not wedding-related) :)
If it HAS to be non-wedding related (that's all that I've been doing for a year!) then it would have to be the day I got Bodie. He's the best little stinker even if he steals the pillows...
4. what is your favorite song?
I can't peg it down to one right now so I'm gonna cop out and say usually whatever is playing on Glee. I try to belt it out like those guys but unfortunately, I think I'm just hurting myself and Kevin's ears.
5. if you could move anywhere in the world where would it be?
Hawaii. I lived there when I was little and would KILL to go back.
6. what is the last book you read?
Well, I can't remember the very last one but the last few were Shopaholic Takes New York, Sundays at Tiffanys and Safe Haven. All of them were really good. Sundays at Tiffanys was weird though. It's by James Patterson and it's about a girls imaginary friend who comes back when she's grown up and they fall in love... anyone else read it?!
7. what's on the wallpaper on your computer desktop?
Me smoochin my ol' man. Of course, it's our wedding day!
8. what is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?
Shop. Ohhhhh how I love to shop. If I had some Hunter boots, maybe I'd play in the rain. Maybe I'll go shopping for them...
And over on La Tache's blog (did I spell that right chica?) here are her questions:
1. What are you going to dress us as for Halloween?
I have no idea! I need to get on that... I think this smurf outfit is so cute though, from yandy.com
2. Do you keep your birthday and holiday cards?
I keep the memorable ones in a shoe box which is overflowing!

3. Where is your favorite city?
Hmm, I would have to say Honolulu, which is where I would want to live. Shopping, beaches and perfect weather? Hells yeah.
4. What material item do you want, but don't want to buy for yourself?
I already bought myself the Ray Bans I'd been wanting and that was number one so it would have to be either the Hunter boots previously mentioned or the gray cardy Uggs
5. Coffee or Tea?
COFFEE. I make a pot every morning before work. Two Splendas and some caramel vanilla creamer. Yummm caffeine.

6. What is your most embarrassing moment? (or "laugh-at-yourself" moment, if you don't get embarrassed)
When I got engaged. Isn't that horrible!? Right before Kevin asked me to marry him I said "can we hurry up, I have to poop".... and now I get picked on all the time.... :'(
7. What mode of transportation do you use to get to work?
My baby, Alice. She's a silver hard-top convertible. VW Eos to be precise. And she's cursed. She leaks, had bad brakes, needed new tires and eats oil. She's a feisty little minx.
8. If you could be ANY animal, which would you be, and why?
Sponge. and living in a pineapple under the sea.
9. Why did you start blogging?
I first found out how big the blogosphere was when I started reading Weddingbee. Myobsession interest grew from there. After we got married, I strayed a bit but then found the thread of personal blogs and thought, "Hey, I can do that. I'm kind of boring and have no life but I'll think of something to write about" and here we are.

10. What has made you smile...TODAY?
The fifth graders I gave tours to at our VoTech. It's nice to know that innocence is still alive and well in our youth. While looking at the pony outside our Vet Assistant classroom, a kid says "That horse is a boy! Look at his thingy!"

Love that you have a candy dish! I would probably be that person trying to grab candy when you are not looking too!
#1, wth crazy old scarf lady, #2, your answers to the questions were ridiculously funny!!
Haha, this is so cute! As an ex-receptionist, I totally get where you are coming from with the candy bowl etiquette!
One of my most embarrassing moments is when I got engaged too! I knew what was about to happen & freaked so I said, "I have to pee." and made him wait like 5 extra minutes. Then when we got to "the spot" on the dock, all I could talk about was the dead bait fish (I'm so NOT that squeemish girl) and then yelling "Y'all are sketchy!" at the family that I knew was watching. Oh how I wish I could go back & do that one again, haha.
"...then took your seemingly precious grammy-hands and fisted my candy."
HAHAHAHA!! Fisted my candy?? Where did you even think of that??
Haha my pup steals the pillows too. But I wouldn't give him up for anything.
LOL, diabetic cat! So funny!
Diabetic cat, I'm sure that's it! I love the bowl though! I want one!! :)
HAHA you have an office snack monster! Unfortunately, I may be that snack monster. Man down.
PS: If you love french fries, you gotta go to Brussels some day. They're serious here!
Thanks for playing :-) Yes you did spell my name right! :-) I am the same--I keep the memorable ones...do you agree that grandmas always give the most sentimental card?! Oh boy!
LOL! I love it! As a admin with candy on her desk, as well, I can totally appreciate this.
P.S. Your doggie is adorable!
French Fries would be my "death row" food too! Love me some fries!
you pup is so cute! and i love that last thing about kids - they really are so innocent and funny. i'm a pediatric nurse and i hear the most outrageous things every day. i've got to start documenting them!
OMG I'm dying from that picture of Bodie on the pillows! WHAT a cutie <3
haha I love your candy bowl etiquette!
Love Ethel!! Ethel should be filled with chocolates!! :) Is tootsie roll considered chocolate? ha, I dunno!! I love the smurf costume, so cute!! Fun post!!
hahaha, that is the cutest candy bowl EVER. I also am dying for those soft, flannet Uggs. They are on my dear santa list as we speak.
and how the eff was I not following you? B/c I def. am now!!
flannel* uggs. My ability to spell words correctly is not my best feature.
Bodie is SO cute!
Oh we have an office hog too. Someone brought in homemade choc. chip cookies & put the ziploc bag on an empty desk - said hoarder took.the.whole.bag. Yup. I feel your pain.
That Smurf costume is cute too - with long sleeves it's not too halloween-hoochie. I like it. ;)
I'm going to "accidentally" leave this up for my husband to read. He's that old lady.
